Lipstick of the week: Mac Archie's collection in Ronnie red

If you're a fan of Mac then probably you've read lots or reviews and rave about this collection, as of this moment This limited edition is for sure almost sold out even online. Imagine when this was launch here in philippines it's freakin sold out especially the lipsticks!

I was hesitant and didn't planned in buying anything from this collection,because I prefer the classic black bullet tubes lying around my makeup traincase. The only limited edition that I own was from Give me Liberty of London in Blooming lovely way back in 2010 I think.So what made me decide in getting this? Because I was eyeing to get the famous ruby woo and when I tried it on in Mac glorietta,sad to say it doesn't suit me. My husband told me without any hesitation "hon di bagay sayo,di ka Anne Curtis" what the??!! Ok I wasn't really mad at him,and even thank him for telling the truth..when I looked at the mirror I'm like ok di nga bagay! The resident m/u artist from Mac was nice enough to entertain me, her name was Sharon (I think) she was patient enough to test red lipsticks on me but end up buying lickable.

So when the Archie's collection was launched I patiently read reviews on their lipsticks and so finally I settle for Ronnie red,this was rated 5.0 from makeupalley.com how good is that?!
My search for perfect red lipstick is over.

I must admit i super like the packaging,reminds me when i was in gradeschool when i was so hooked in readng Archies comics

What I like

Stays on for almost 6 hours on me (with snacking in between)
Label says its matte finish but Doesn't dry out your lips
Longevity is pretty awesome
Suits almost akin color
Doesn't scream bright red (thanks to its pink undertone)
Wearable enough to be worn on daytime
It's so pigmented
Applies on smoothly like dream
Doesn't settle on cracks of my lips( which I experience on almost all of my matte lipsticks

What I don't like
Limited edition

I think this lipstick will be my best friend for a couple of months now, I was never a fan of red lipsticks since I was more into pinks and nude but hey I think I found the perfect red for my skin tone. Wish me luck I won't be running out of this since this is limited edition

Follow up post on my wet n wild megalast lipstick craze. I got my order last month and it's been on my drafts for two weeks now. Finally a review on these babies.

If you've been reading my blog before I told you guys that I'm a fan of lipstick,especially matte and satin ones,I just can't get enough of them.
After reading and watching reviews about WnW ,finally I bought one and guess what I am really impressed by it.

I have to say this is one of my best buys,it's so inexpensive that you want to hoard all the Colors.

Color payoff is amazing and last me 3to 4 hours without eating or drinking. The consistency of the lipstick is quite dry because it's a matte finish so prior to application especially those who have dry lips be sure to moisturize lips for smooth and ease application.

If you noticed I got the colors that are somewhat similar to some Mac's lippies which I don't have yet, don't blink pink is similar to girl about town while pinkerbell (photo on my previous post)reminds me of viva glam nicki minaj

Overall I would rate this product 4.9/5, why not perfect??because the only thing I hate about the product is the  packaging,The lipstick end up nicking the lid of the tube because the lipstick Itself does not go completely into the tube and it's so fiddly. And one thing also is the plastic packaging is a pain,I was using using the lipstick for almost a week but I noticed that it looked all scratchy and the color changes into foggy! I really wish WnW will come up with better packaging.

Bought new lipstick from Mac,I originally planned to buy girl about town but it was out of stock in Mac Trinoma so i settled for chatterbox instead. And my newest eyeliner pencil from Milani,I'll do review on this baby and I super super love this!! I got this from ms sol of digital traincase.

Ok! my insights.. at first I thought the other colors look funny, i mean when i saw the shade cloud 9 and peek a bloo I was like ??????? huh!! what pops into my mind was " meron kaya gagamit ng kulay na to??". 

so when I finally read the descriptions and reviews and all that jazz, my hands were itching to get one( oh btw if you are familiar with OCC LIP TAR   they are similar with this)

,so while watching say's you tube  she has the color pinkini and that's where I learned her the online shop who's been selling sleek cosmetics /MakeupHub.NatureleCollezione. looking through all the colors, it somehow reminds me of acrylic paints.

 in shade MAUVE OVER

- I basically got this color because I planned to get only one color, for the sake of trying it. Since the color is soooo pigmented itself and can be used over other lipstick to create another shades.  If you're fond of mixing lipstick shade to create dupe then this one is for you.

what I like:
it's amazingly pigmented

no weird scent or taste

 If you want to intensify the color then you can wear this alone but be sure to moisturize lips prior to applying this,but if you want your lipstick to a be little light then use it with other shade like the cloud 9 because white lightens it, but since I don't have cloud 9 nude color lipstick would be the best option for this.

Staying power is GOOD( I had this in the morning and needed to apply only during lunch after my meal)

A little goes a long way- you might want to use lip brush when applying this but in my case I prefer to use my finger, since using lip brush might be a little tricky.

It's a satin finish which is a plus for me ( I'm a huge fan of satin lippies)

1 might purchase another color perhaps the Pinkini would be awesome to have one too.

pricey!!

The color is sheer pink with a slight hint of shimmer or sparkles.. whatever you call it

The consistency is buttery soft, glides on smoothly on the lips.

You may not want to apply gloss on top of it, since the lipstick itself is moisturizing enough on the lips, and gives off plumping effect.

This doesn't have any odd taste or smell which is good, I mean I won't pay a lot on a lipstick that has gross taste/ smell.

pigmentation is good 

feels really light on the lips,almost you'll feel like you're not wearing any lipstick at all(it has 25% less wax)

it's not sticky or wet

barely fades, but I don't mind re applying it again over and over since the packaging is so prruuuttyy( madali nga lang maubos and mahallll pa :( 

On my lips with two swipes, it's sheer noh??!! btw If you find the color too pale for you, you may try mixing this  with other lipstick of your choice,which I do if I get bored with the color.

I tried goggling  this and read some reviews that this is comparative to the Revlon lip butter, well I cannot tell you exactly if they are similar coz I don't own any lip butter yet.
